On his 93rd birthday, Buzz Aldrin married his long-term partner Dr Anca Faur, the second man to walk on the moon. During his birthday celebration on Friday, the retired astronaut announced that he had “tied the knot” with Dr Anca Faur, 63, in a small ceremony in Los Angeles. He shared two photos from the wedding with his followers and said the couple were “excited as eloping teenagers.” He added: “On my 93rd birthday, the day I will be recognized by Living Legends of Aviation, I am happy to announce that I have married my long-time partner Dr Anca Faur.” Our holy matrimony took place in a private ceremony in Los Angeles and we are as thrilled as teenagers who are about to elope.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Faur has been the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures since 2019. A picture of Aldrin dressed in a suit decorated with a medal and an Air Force badge was posted on Twitter, along with a picture of Faur dressed in lace. In addition to being married three times, Aldrin has also been divorced three times. His marriage to Joan Ann Archer in 1954 lasted for 20 years before they divorced. From 1975 to 1978, he was married to Beverly Van Zile, and between 1988 and 2012, he was married to Lois Driggs Cannon. With Joan Ann, he has three children – James, Janice, and Andrew, one grandson, three great-grandsons, and one great-great-granddaughter.

In 1959, Anca Faur was born in Braşov, Romania. She worked for the Johnson Matthey company as a project manager. As an Executive Vice President at Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC, she has been employed since 2019. Neither her siblings nor parents have been revealed by the 63-year-old. The University of Pittsburgh awarded her a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Catalysis in 1996. As a project leader at Union Carbide, she spent three years at the company. After joining Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells in July 2020, she has been working as a Program Manager for 20 years. Previously, she served on the board of the California Hydrogen Business Council and attended the 70th International Astronautical Congress of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
