The drama kicked off in July when Ari Fletcher shared a video on Instagram of Jewell unwrapping a $20,000 check on his birthday, with fans praising her for her generosity. However, Jewell later claimed that the funds were never actually provided, and he created a GoFundMe page titled “Help Tuson Recover from a Heartbreaking Betrayal.” On the page, Jewell wrote that he felt “betrayed” and “heartbroken” after his so-called best friend promised him $20,000, only to later find out the money was nonexistent. Jewell even hinted that the entire gesture was for show, claiming that Fletcher never intended to give him the money but did it to boost her image on social media.
Jewell’s GoFundMe message read: “I trusted her completely, but after the cameras stopped rolling, I never received a single payment. I found out later she planned to only give me $10,000, and after that, I received nothing. The whole thing was for clout.” He also announced plans to release a song called “Lie 2 You,” which he said would reveal his truth about the situation with Fletcher.
As the accusations piled up, Fletcher didn’t hold back in her response. When a social media user questioned her about Jewell’s claims, she fired back, posting, “Wrong! I sent the money to the dealership, but a mf tried to get a car using a CPN (Credit Privacy Number) without my knowledge. That’s illegal! They voided the application and sent me my money back.”
Jewell, however, countered Fletcher’s defense, stating, “The car was canceled because they never got payment! But let’s pretend like they did. So if you got the money back, where did it go? Was it still supposed to be a gift? $20k turned into $0 real quick.”

The argument continued to escalate when Fletcher posted an audio clip, claiming it was Jewell talking to a lawyer, the dealership, and a bank. In the caption, Fletcher alleged that Jewell had attempted to commit fraud, leading her to open a claim to recover her money. “You almost got my money taken from me! I have everything recorded. Stop lying on me and go fix your life!” she wrote.
Ari Fletcher then detailed her frustrations, accusing Jewell of being ungrateful. She explained that she had done much more for him beyond the car gift, including getting him cast on The Impact: ATL and securing a quarter-million-dollar deal for him. She added, “I promoted your business, got you on the show, even paid for your teeth! You’re 33 years old, begging! Get a job and leave me alone.”
