Andy Cohen apologizes for the way he treated Garcelle Beauvais during the ‘RHOBH’ Season 12 reunion
3 min readAndy Cohen is saying ‘sorry’ to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais after the Bravo host got backlash from watchers. During the second part of the RHOBH reunion last week, Lisa Rinna conceded she was the one that tossed Beauvais’ autobiographical book in the garbage and not Erika Jayne, who had shared the moment on Instagram. While discussing what is going on at the reunion, Andy Cohen avoided Beauvais’ feelings about the memoir in the waste and on second thought downplayed it by asking Rinna about her recycling habits. Fans of the reality series took to social media to call out Andy Cohen, and he’s currently acknowledging his mistake/error.
I am disappointed in your treatment of Garcelle during Reunion #2. You joined with Rinna and Erika laughing about throwing her book in the trash and joking about recycling instead of addressing the real issue. That was so disrespectful of Garcelle’s feelings.

Everyone’s been discussing the Beverly Hills reunion, Andy Cohen said on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live. Furthermore, I simply need to say, I’ve been paying attention to everybody’s criticism about the reunion, and I truly need to earnestly apologize, for redirecting the subject as well as for not getting back to the serious discussion that was within reach. Andy Cohen added that he had ‘profound admiration for Garcelle Beauvais’ and that the two of them had a great, productive discussion after the episode broadcast last Wednesday. I should have been more on top of her sentiments. I simply needed to say that since I’ve been signing in [to social media] and I get it, he acknowledged.
So wait, executive producer, Andy Cohen, watched this reunion before it aired and thought it was OK to show himself and the mean girls make fun of Garcelle's book being thrown in the trash? So damn disgusting. He got a kick out of this scene #RHOBH #FireAndyCohen #RHOBHReunion

Andy Cohen Apologies To Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Garcelle Beauvais After ‘RHOBH’ Reunion Backlash
Andy Cohen reportedly issued a public apology in the wake of getting backlash for his reaction to Garcelle Beauvais and Lisa Rinna’s feud at the RHOBH reunion. During the RHOBH reunion, which broadcasted part two on Thursday, 20th October, Rinna, 59, uncovered she was the person who tossed Beauvais’ memoir titled, Love Me as I’m, into the junk. Their costar Erika Jayne recently took credit after posting a photograph of the book via social media. I must tell the truth — I’m the one that threw Garcelle’s book in the trash, the former soap star Lisa Rinna said at that point. Garcelle and I had a handshake agreement the children were off-limits. Thus, about 18 months after the fact, she put my girl Amelia [Hamlin] in her book in not a positive light, but in a negative light and that’s what I did also.
Than God Andy apologize d to Garcelle. That was so rude and so insensitive.

The model, as far as concerns her, called attention to that she tended to Rinna’s criticism off-screen. I expressed out loud, ‘Whatever could we at any point do? It’s seven days before the book really emerges, what else is there to do? Garcelle Beauvais recalled. Thus we as a whole thought of a second version of the book, we will take it out as well as the sound and that is the very thing that we did. Andy Cohen immediately switched up the conversation to address why Rinna apparently didn’t reuse the things in her waste canister. Accordingly, fans called out the host for not supporting the Haiti native Garcelle Beauvais.
