Amouranth Stunned as YouTube Deletes Main Channel Without Prior Notice

Popular internet personality and streamer Amouranth was caught off guard after YouTube abruptly deleted both her main channel and personal account without any prior warning. With millions of followers across platforms, Amouranth has established a significant online presence, but her reach on YouTube has taken a severe hit following this sudden decision by the platform.
The issue first arose on August 20, 2024, when Amouranth’s ASMR channel, which had 749,000 subscribers, was removed for alleged violations related to sexual content. Now, only two weeks later, her primary YouTube channel, along with a personal account, has been taken down as well, leaving the streamer blindsided.
Amouranth immediately took to Twitter to express her frustration, tagging YouTube’s official support account. She wrote:
“HEY [YouTube]. You deleted my main YouTube channel @amouranth. It suddenly got removed with out warning. There were no strikes or infractions. You also at the same [time] (in the same notice email) deleted my personal YouTube channel that I don’t make content on – it just has YouTube premium subscription.”
In a humorous yet frustrated tone, she also added:
“What’s next, you gonna take out my Gmail and search thereby forcing me to use Bing?”

Amouranth’s main YouTube channel had been a significant part of her online brand, hosting a variety of content including vlogs, behind-the-scenes footage from her streams, and try-on videos. Prior to its deletion, the channel boasted 1.01 million subscribers and accumulated 159 million views across 497 videos. Despite the importance of the platform to her content ecosystem, YouTube’s decision to remove the channel came with no prior strikes or warnings, which left the streamer confused about the sudden enforcement action.
In the past, Amouranth’s ASMR channel was also taken down without any forewarning, while she was in the process of uploading a video. The same pattern seems to have repeated with her primary account, leading to concerns over YouTube’s transparency and communication regarding its policies.
Attempting to visit Amouranth’s YouTube channel now results in a 404 error page, indicating that the content is no longer available. Searching for her name on the platform only brings up videos from other creators discussing her rather than her own content.
What remains unclear is why YouTube chose to delete not only her main channel but also her personal account, which she clarified was not used for content creation but merely held her YouTube Premium subscription. The platform’s community guidelines explicitly state that if a channel or account is terminated, users are prohibited from “circumventing the termination” by creating new channels. However, there has been no official clarification from YouTube regarding Amouranth’s case, nor any indication of the specific violation that triggered the removal.
As of now, Amouranth is left in the dark, awaiting a response from YouTube after publicly reaching out through social media. Her situation highlights growing concerns among content creators about the lack of transparency and inconsistent enforcement of policies by major platforms like YouTube.
