In the trial, Heard claimed that Depp allegedly struck her in the mouth during one of their fights.

She said, ‘I was in one of these fights. I believe it’s this one, in his downtown ECB. We call it a loft. We were in the kitchen living room area when he backhanded me.’

She further testified, ‘And you know he (Depp) wears a lot of rings. I remember kind of just feeling like my lip went into my teeth, and it got a little blood on the wall. Just that simple, a little bit of blood on the wall.’

According to Heard, following the alleged fight, she snapped a photo with a cut on her lip. The actress is seen holding a note that says ‘I shall return xxx’. In her testimony, Heard stated that it was the note that Depp left after their fight.

Heard’s legal team wanted to present the same photo however Depp’s attorney objected. He said that Heard’s lawyer had not submitted the photo during the discovery phase of the case.

Depp’s legal team further says that the picture is from 2012. However, as per Heard’s witness statement, the first violent incident took place in 2013, a year later after the alleged bloody lip photo was snapped.

Meanwhile, a source close to Heard stated that the Aquaman actress messed up her dates after her UK case, and her therapist records list that Depp’s abuse started in 2012.

Regardless, Johnny vs. Amber’s highly publicized trial is currently on a weeklong hiatus. It will resume on 16th May.
