“Charmed” has been one of the viewers’ favorite series for years, with its three main cast members, Hollie Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Shannen Doherty, receiving a lot of praise for their roles. However, everyone was shocked when Shannen Doherty was fired after three seasons of “Charmed.”
The reason behind her getting fired from the show was reported to be Alyssa Milano. Milano allegedly threatened producers to fire Shannen from the show. This was revealed by Shannen and Hollie on the Let’s Be Clear podcast, after which Doherty’s place was taken up by Rose McGowan.

During the Megacon Orlando’s Charmed panel recently Alyssa Milano finally opened up about the Shannen Doherty firing drama. While Milano didn’t have any of her co-stars with her at the event, she went on to tell fans, “I knew this was going to come up in one way or another, and I want to be very thoughtful in how I respond to any of this.”
She added, “I will just say that I’m sad. I don’t think it’s really that I’m sad for me or for my life or how it does or does not affect my life. I’m the most sad for the fans. I’m the most sad that a show that has meant so much to so many people has been tarnished by a toxicity that is still to this day almost a quarter of a century later still happening”.

Alyssa went on to say, “I’m sad that people can’t move past it. I’m sad that we all can’t just celebrate the success of a show that meant so much to all of us”. Milano also revealed how the filming of the series had been tough for her.
As she was heard saying, “I’ve worked super hard in my life in the last 25 years to heal all of my trauma. And that’s not just all the trauma that i experienced while shooting but all of my trauma”.
At the end, before the audience applauded for her, she said, “This is the uncomfortable part that i wish was different. So apologies to all of you who love us anyway”.
