There was a 911 call placed moments before the incident telling that they suspect the criminal who break-ins in their houses have been found. They claim that the unidentified began to attack Travis as soon as they stopped to talk to him and then they fired two shots at him. However, reports claim that Ahmaud Arbery was not armed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Security cameras show that Aubery only entered the neighbourhood 5 times in 5 months before the incident. William said that they tried to corner him five times and that he joined the chase independently, however, these claims don’t have enough proof.

The defendants say that they only shot him as an act of self-defence when he tried to grab the gun. However, the video shows them firing the shot two times while a bloodied Ahmaud Arbery can be seen tumbling. The report says that he was shot twice in the chest and one on his wrist.
