Streaming star Adin Ross has made his return to the streaming platform Kick after a prolonged absence from social media, with an ambitious goal to get unbanned on Twitch and address the toxicity within his community.

Adin Ross, who has become a prominent face of Kick, shared his aspirations during his comeback broadcast on July 23. After nearly two months away from the internet, Ross expressed his desire to return to Twitch to help “fix” the negative aspects of his viewer base, although he emphasized his commitment to Kick.

In his livestream, Adin Ross acknowledged the issues plaguing his community. “We’re gonna go to get unbanned on Twitch,” he announced. “Not so I can stop Kick, because I know y’all need me. I’m back, and this is still my baby. We’re gonna get unbanned on Twitch because this community — we gotta fix this sht, bro. We’re toxic as fck, and we’re gonna fix this sht. We’re gonna figure it the fck out.”

Adin Ross also assured his fans that he is done taking breaks and is focused on driving his content forward. “We’re gonna find a way to make Kick bigger, the brand bigger, the community better, and that’s it,” he continued. “…motherf*ckers are too scared to come on stream with me. That’s not it. Let’s try to find a way where we can include everybody.”

Ross’s remarks referenced a past conversation with his manager, where it was revealed that many mainstream celebrities were hesitant to appear on his broadcasts due to his “toxic” image. “I would be getting you guests if they weren’t all afraid to be seen with you,” his manager had said. “It’s insane. Your reputation is just so toxic. No one wants to be anywhere near you.”

In his return, Ross distanced himself from recent controversies involving Kick. During his hiatus, the platform faced backlash after a streamer was banned for pulling a gun on a couple for kissing in public, and another incident where a streamer drove on the sidewalk during a broadcast. Despite these events, Kick has implemented changes to improve moderation, including new categories and ‘bounties’ to reward streamers.

Adin Ross was permanently banned from Twitch in 2023, marking his eighth and final suspension. Although he was initially outraged, he is now seeking to get back in Twitch’s good graces. Recent changes by Twitch CEO Dan Clancy offer banned streamers a chance at redemption, and Clancy has expressed willingness to discuss unbanning Ross in April 2024.

Adin Ross hinted at his return to streaming on Kick through his alternate X account, AR15THEDEMON, stating he would be seeing his audience tonight. This follows weeks of teasers about his comeback. Ross, one of the biggest streamers on Kick since his move last year, has been on a break since May 25.

In a previous post on X dated July 6, Ross mentioned that he was ready to return after a beneficial break for his mental and physical health. “So, I am going to hit live any day, any second, any minute maybe. Yeah, I am ready though. It’s been a long time. Good break, good mental break,” he said.

Despite not streaming since June, Ross made a surprise appearance at Michael Rubin’s All White Party a few weeks ago, with photos of the event going viral on social media. Now, with his sights set on Twitch and a renewed focus on improving his community, Ross is poised for a dynamic return to the streaming world.
