24-year-old rapper JayDaYoungan dies after being shot outside his Louisiana home

Louisiana rapper JayDaYoungan tragically passed away after he was shot outside his Bogalusa residence on Wednesday evening.

JayDaYoungan dies at the age of 24

According to the cops, JayDaYoungan whose real name is Javorius Tykies Scott was fatally shot in Louisiana along with his relative, Kenyatta Scott Sr.

The shooting took place around 6 pm. The rapper was in critical condition when he was rushed to a local hospital.

According to sources, Jay was immediately led to surgery since he lost a substantial amount of blood.

Regardless, authorities confirmed the death of JayDaYoungan before midnight. They also informed that Scott Sr, who is reportedly the rapper’s father, was in stable condition.

Furthermore, the police claimed that another shooting took place in the locality an hour following the incident that killed the 24-year-old musician.

Officials shared that they think both the shooting are somehow related.

They wrote in a social media post, ‘Detectives are currently conducting interviews and working leads. Further in formation will follow as it becomes available.’

Relatives and fans express condolence over JayDaYoungan’s death

Following the tragedy, several fans and relatives of JayDaYoungan took to social media to share their emotions over the news.

The rapper’s sister Kenya wrote, ‘My f***ing baby dawg,’ with a emojis of sad face and a broken heart.

One fan mentioned, ‘Rest In Peace JayDaYoungan one of the best artists out of Louisiana again prayers to his kids and the rest of his family man far too early.’

Another said, ‘Please tell me Jaydayoungan isn’t dead. I’m literally tearing up.’

Moreover, a different user noted, ‘Jaydayoungan is one of the only rappers I listen to I’m devastated and ready to take life much more seriously.’

Who was JayDaYoungan?

JayDaYoungan was signed to Atlantic Records in 2017. He is recognized for his singles such as 23 Island, Elimination, and Opps.

The now-late artist worked alongside major rappers such as Lil Durk, Boosie Badazz, Moneybagg Yo, and Latto during his brief musical career.

The young rapper also welcomed a son with social media influencer Jordan B. He often uploaded pictures of his son on his official Instagram handle. In fact, his last post on the social media platform features himself playing and dancing with his son.

JayDaYoungan’s death comes after he was released from prison in June for gun charges. He was initially ruled to serve five years behind the bars but was released early.
