Pokimane Slams Haters After Her No-makeup Picture Goes Viral

Pokimane makes headlines as she recently became the subject of massive criticism. Netizens are slamming her for “flexing her wealth” in a tweet wherein she shared her make-up-free selfie.

Pokimane’s Makeup-free Selfie Goes Viral

Iman Anys, the Moroccan-Canadian influencer is better known by her stage name Pokimane. Although she has made a name for herself by her live streams on Twitch and broadcasting video game content, this time she is the main focus of a viral tweet.

Pokimane Anys met her fellow influencer Jidion nearly a month after he initiated a hate raid against her. Pokeman received a lot of harassment and backlash due to the raid. As a result, Twitch, the streaming platform permanently banned the influencer. However, the two influencers met on February 15 and claimed to be on good terms despite their past encounters. Moreover, they want to collaborate in the future as well.

During their encounter, Jidion dared Pokimane to use her infamous makeup-free selfie to hit back at her haters. It was a way to use the fodder of the haters against them. He suggested her post her makeup-free selfie with the caption ‘This face makes more money than you’ll ever see in your life.’

Pokimane kept her word and posted the selfie, shortly after their Jidion’s collab video started making rounds on the Internet. Although Pokimane’s post was enormously popular with her streamers and her fans, others feel as though she has exploited her status as a top streamer unfairly.

Pokimane Slams Her Haters

The next day, Pokimane retaliated against all the criticism in a live stream. She claimed that people are misinterpreting the full context of the situation. She pointed out that if her tweet angered the Netizens to this extent, then they must condemn the multi-million or billion-dollar conglomerates too, for taking unfair advantage of its workers. In contrast to the conglomerates, she is a hardworking streamer working in this field for over 8 years to make her money. In the process, she even provides employment to several people, thereby earning healthy and liveable amounts of money.

Moreover, she slammed the people who undermined her achievements with her makeup-free look. She stated that such people have accomplished nothing at all. Moreover, she acknowledges that people would get upset with the ones who flex their wealth. What is not clear to her is why do YouTubers receive backlash for showcasing their brand-new Lambos.

Pokimane clearly isn’t afraid to take down her haters. Moreover, she takes pride in her work and the money she earns from it. Moreover, her friend and fellow influencer Valkyrae too stood up for her in the same matter.
