More nations where the revised edit will be shown are expected to be announced soon, so fingers crossed we’ll hear something about a UK release in the not-too-distant future.

What does the substance of the extra scenes entail?

It’s unclear what the additional scenes will be about, but the new version is sure to be a smash with fans who couldn’t get enough of the original film, which was already about two and a half hours long.

It’s likely that some of the deleted moments shown in the behind-the-scenes extras on the film’s Blu-ray release – such as a shot of Maguire’s Spider-Man confronting the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) – may make it in, while there will undoubtedly be plenty of additional footage not before seen by fans.

In addition, the film will assist to commemorate two significant dates in Spider-history: Man’s the 60th anniversary of his initial appearance in comic books and the 20th anniversary of his film debut in 2022.

Not only that, but the film also brought back villains from the past, like Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard, and Electro (Jamie Foxx). The “More Fun Stuff” version of the film will undoubtedly provide viewers a closer look at all of the behind-the-scenes encounters involving Tom, Tobey, and Andrew, who collaborated on some of the film’s most memorable sequences.

Garfield acknowledged shooting on the Spider-Man film alongside Zendaya in a recent interview with Variety, telling the actress that it was “beyond wonderful.” The actor also claimed that he and Maguire were apprehensive about stepping into Tom Cruise’s shoes as the franchise’s leading man.
