Ryan Seacrest gave a sneak peek of what viewers can expect on the finale, which will include performances from the Top 3 finalists and a series of special guest appearances leading up to the announcement of the winner.

During the ABC Upfronts, Seacrest revealed that the show would also dedicate time to bid farewell to Katy Perry. In addition to her performance at the grand finale, the show plans to celebrate her throughout the night. “We’re going to celebrate her all night. Then afterwards, I eat fish and vegetables–so she’s taking us for steak…It’s a celebratory night,” Seacrest said.

The Disney-themed ‘American Idol’ show that aired on May 12 narrowed down the competition to the top three contestants. The upcoming season finale will feature a showdown between these remaining singers to crown the winner. The top 3 contestants for ‘American Idol’ 2024 are Abi Carter, a 21-year-old musician from Indio, California; Jack Blocker, a 25-year-old graphic designer from Dallas, Texas; and Will Moseley, a 23-year-old musician from Hazlehurst, Georgia.

The ‘American Idol’ Season 22 finale is scheduled to air on May 19, 2024. The three-hour finale will be broadcast live on ABC at 8:00 pm.
