The story takes place in the 11th century AD, during a time of war in northern Europe. Thorfinn, an Icelandic youngster, enters the service of Askeladd, a Viking and army leader when the latter murders his father. Thorfinn proceeds to compete against Askeladd and fails each time. He desires vengeance, but he and Askeladd establish an awkward, intimate father-son connection. Vinland Saga is a story about heartbreak, vengeance, feeling, peace, and relationships in general.
The second season’s teaser doesn’t give anything away on what to anticipate. It does, however, hint that Thorfinn is searching for much more than payback to give his life purpose.

There aren’t too many places to watch this fantastic combat anime. In fact, Amazon Prime Video is the only place where you can see it.
