Episode 8 of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles begins with Shin thanking Rio to protect Sayo and her honor. And then, Shin gathered her strength and decided to win the next battle. Later, Rio told everything about Shin to Sayo.

Shin thought that her brother was just setting money on fire and Rio told her about the brawl. Then Rio and Sayo were seen in the market passing through Valentine’s gift shop. Here, the owner lady asked Rio to buy flowers for his girlfriend (Sayo).

But Sayo answered her by saying that she was not her girlfriend. But the lady again commented that they looked good with each other. However, Rio asked Sayo to buy something. They both looked for items. Sayo chose the beautiful flowers which the lady praised as these were the finest ones.

Later, when the lady told them the prizes Sayo found it too expensive. Then Rio said it’s on him. He also commented that the flowers looked good on her. Sayo couldn’t believe that Rio was paying for her but then the lady asked them for discounts.

But Rio denied it and said he didn’t take discounts while buying for a girl. Then Lady commented that she should have set high prize then. As they took the flowers, the lady whispered in Sayo’s ears to make Rio hers as he was a nice person. Later Rio saves some girls when some boys tried to misbehave with them. The episode ended with an emotional note. Rio told how his mother was murdered and recalled that day.
