Recap of Episode 8: Goku vs Tamagami Number Three

The eighth episode begins with an epic fight where Tamagami introduces himself and tells Goku that if he wants the Dragon Ball, he must defeat him. Goku, who had been waiting for this moment since arriving in the Demon World, eagerly accepts the challenge. The epic battle kicks off, with Tamagami attacking Goku continuously with his hammer. Tamagami is incredibly fast, but not fast enough to land a hit on Goku. Goku dodges all of Tamagami's attacks and counterattacks, but Tamagami's body is so strong that it doesn't have much effect.

Goku then uses his Power Pole to try and strike Tamagami, but Tamagami isn’t just physically strong—his speed is exceptional, allowing him to dodge with ease. Eventually, Tamagami begins to overpower Goku. Goku realizes it's time to use his brain and attacks Tamagami's legs, causing him to lose balance. Goku then tries to strike from behind, but Tamagami dodges again.

Impressed by Goku’s resilience—something Tamagami had never encountered before—he acknowledges Goku as a formidable opponent. Even the villagers, including Panzy, are amazed by Goku's strength. The Supreme Kai comments that Goku is not only strong but also a genius, as he has quickly adapted to the environment. He adds that Goku’s battle IQ is unmatched.

As the fight continues, Tamagami becomes serious. At one point, he almost crushes Goku under his hammer. Things seem bleak for Goku, as he struggles to counter the immense force. But then, the unexpected happens—Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan, creating a visually stunning moment. Tamagami tries to attack Goku again with his hammer, but Goku breaks it in a single blow. Goku then hovers in mid-air, leaving Panzy confused as to why he isn't attacking. Goku says to Tamagami, “Let’s fight seriously now,” revealing that everything so far was just a warm-up.

Tamagami acknowledges that he, too, wasn’t fighting at full power earlier. However, it no longer matters how much power Tamagami uses, as Goku is now a Super Saiyan and nearly unbeatable. Even so, Tamagami doesn’t give up and gathers all his energy for one last attack. Goku, undeterred, uses the Kamehameha for the first time in the series. The two attacks collide, but Goku’s attack overpowers Tamagami's. The villagers and Panzy, along with the Supreme Kai, are astounded by Goku’s abilities and wonder who this child is.

Tamagami, although defeated, manages to block and deflect Goku's attack with his hands. But before he can recover, Goku strikes him with an elbow, sending him crashing to the ground. Tamagami admits defeat but surprises Goku by revealing that he still has enough power to fight. However, he says he doesn't want to continue because he now realizes he cannot defeat Goku. Goku asks if he will get the Dragon Ball, and Tamagami agrees, but only if Goku wins one final challenge.

The villagers are confused about what this "final battle" could be, as no one has ever reached this level, not even King Dabura himself. The challenge involves finding out which cup contains the Dragon Ball. After such a massive fight, Goku is surprised he still has to do this. Tamagami starts shuffling the cups at an incredibly high speed, so fast that even the Supreme Kai cannot follow the movements. Panzy accuses Tamagami of cheating, but eventually, he stops and asks Goku to guess.

Goku confidently says, "The Dragon Ball is not in any cup; it’s above that man’s head." It is revealed that Goku is correct—the Dragon Ball is floating above a man's head. Tamagami had secretly launched the ball into the air during the shuffling, but Goku was the only one who noticed. Tamagami smiles, hands over the Dragon Ball, and praises Goku as a skilled and honest fighter. He wishes Goku luck in defeating the remaining opponents.

The villagers celebrate Goku’s victory, as he achieved something unprecedented in the history of the Demon World. Meanwhile, Arinsu receives a call from Glorio, informing her that Goku defeated Tamagami. While not shocked, Arinsu hadn’t expected things to go so smoothly. She then starts preparing for her next plan.

In another scene, Goku and his companions leave the village. Tamagami is shown training, and the villagers find this amusing. Panzy is still in disbelief over Goku's strength, while Goku, unfazed, is busy eating. Panzy wonders how Goku’s body is still functioning after such an intense battle. The Supreme Kai asks Glorio where they are heading, and Glorio reveals that they must meet Warp-sama to access the Second Demon Realm. Glorio adds that they need to remain hidden because Goku’s victory over Tamagami will spread like wildfire, and their enemies will know he’s with them.

Meanwhile, at Gomah's palace, Gomah is seen watching the "Buu Saga" and recognizes someone on the screen—Arinsu. Shocked, he wonders what she is up to. It’s revealed that Arinsu possesses a fragment of Majin Buu, which she plans to use. Arinsu visits a dark and mysterious lab, where an old witch named Marba is working on something. Arinsu instructs Marba to use the fragment to recreate Majin Buu.

The scene shifts to Vegeta, who overhears a conversation about Dragon Balls in the Demon World. Intrigued, Vegeta presses for more information, but the person dismisses him, causing Vegeta to fume. Bulma finds Vegeta’s frustration amusing, and the episode ends on this note.
