Kanye West appears to be displeased with Adidas once again.
The multihyphenate rushed to Instagram today to slam the Three Stripes. He posted a long message devoid of punctuation in which he claimed the business plagiarised his work. Kanye West included a photo of the Adidas Adilette 22 in his rant, calling it a “fake Yeezy,” and demanding that Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted meet with him.
“THIS IS YOU travelling down the same street as Kobe. Maybe I’m feeling the Mamba spirit right now.” “I’m not going to stand for your obvious copying any longer, Kasper,” West stated on Instagram. “To all sneakerheads” To every ball player, rapper, or even store employee: This is for anyone who wants to express themselves but is frightened to do so for fear of losing their job or being labelled insane. Bravery is not being afraid; it is conquering your fear and standing up for your truth. This Ye with the blue paint on my face.”
Examination of the Adidas Adilette 22 and the Yeezy Slides
When Kanye first introduced his Yeezy collection in 2015, he teamed up with Adidas.
The rapper, on the other hand, appears to have a problem with the Adilette 22 sandals, which were released earlier this month.
The Yeezy and Adilette slides are both earth-toned rubber slip-on sandals with a treaded outsole, although the former has a treaded outsole. Adilette, unlike the chunkier Yeezy slides, features a slimmer body with a smooth surface.
While Adilette slides were $55 and sold out immediately when they were released in May, Yeezy slides are more expensive on online buying sites, with the cheapest adult pair on Goat.com costing $82.
Slides are compared by fans
Fans have expressed their displeasure with Adidas’ ‘copying’ of Yeezy’s style in response to the rapper’s remark. Many people on Twitter drew parallels between the two.
“Am I the only one who doesn’t think the Adidas slides look like the Yeezy slides?” one person tweeted.
“Dude is complaining about Adidas, the Yeezy makers, stealing his slides. Yet the slides look nothing like Yeezys,” wrote another.
“Lol Ye threatening to leave Adidas is comedy,” one fan added to the above comments.
“They’re similar since they’re both huge Adidas slides,” said another. The slide is a completely distinct design and I’m all for it. I think these are better than the Yeezy slides because they have more personality and don’t look like hospital slides.”
