Lauren Scala is a well-established name in the media industry. People have seen her reporting on NBC for almost 12 years. She joined in 2008 when she started hosting “Today in New York” a Trivia game that aired on WNBC.  Collaborating with Time Out New York Magazine she has also hosted “Don’t Miss This”. 

She also hosted the New York Emmy Awards, in 2009 which made her a known face in the industry. 

The 39 year old reported is now set to start new endeavors in life as she recently informed people that she is leaving the NBC news channel.

Why Did Lauren Leave Nbc?

Lauren officially left NBC on December 1 which is the same day joined the morning news program in the year 2008. 

John Durso, an NBC spokesperson said that people will no longer be seeing Lauren Scala on a daily basis. However, she will be going on air from time to time as she will be covering stories for WNBC ‘s New York Live which is telecasted at 11:30 in the morning.

Scala told them through an email that she is willing to leave and move on in the pursuit of new endeavors. 

People were confused when the news came out and they started to question Lauren why she would leave such a prolific career. However, Lauren is just saying goodbye to NBC and people might see her on different news networks as she is all set to experiment with her professional life. 

Right now, she reports on “Today in New York” by WNBC. Meanwhile, fans are waiting for her to cover stories on other news stations.

Lauren Scala has been working as a television reporter for quite some time. Sources have reported that she earns a fortune of $63 thousand a year. While talking of her net worth she has reportedly accumulated $1.5 million.
