Meat Loaf, the American singer and actor, also known as Michael Lee Aday died at the age of 74 on Thursday. The family, consisting of his wife Deborah Gillespie and two daughters took to Facebook to share a statement regarding the same.

Some notable ones include ‘Fight Club,’ ‘Focus,’ ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ and ‘Wayne’s World.
The family says that they are aware of how much the late singer meant to his fans and followers. The late singer’s family expressed gratitude for the love and support they received from his fans and other celebrities. However, they requested some privacy at this time.

Deborah Gillespie is the second wife of the late singer. Although Meat Loaf was always on the news, he managed to keep his personal life far away from the Hollywood spotlight. Deborah Gillespie is a Canadian native and they tied the knot in 2007. Deborah Gillespie did not have any children of her own. However, she became the stepmother of Meat Loaf’s two daughters, Pearl and Amanda.
She has starred in Meat Loaf’s documentaries as well : ‘Meat Loaf: Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’ (2004) and ‘Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise’ (2007). The couple used to split their time between Los Angeles and Texas. The singer was originally from Texas.
