Coca-Cola released their first metaverse-inspired “Byte Pixel” drink, dubbed Zero Sugar Byte, with a flavor based on digital pixels on Monday, April 4. According to the beverage corporation’s official press release, the drink will be distributed in “very restricted amounts in select regions”.

On Fortnite, the cola manufacturer appeared to hint this limited-edition drink. Following the brand’s Starlight drink, which launched the flavour based on outer space, this drink is the second such venture by Coca-Cola Creations.

The Coca-Cola Zero Sugar “Byte Pixel” is due to be available in the future

According to the official release specifications, the new drink will be produced in extremely small quantities. Beginning May 2, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte will be available in the United States. Latin America, on the other hand, will be able to enjoy the product considerably sooner, beginning April 4. Meanwhile, China will be able to consume the beverage beginning May 23.

The beverage will be sold in twin packs of 12-ounce cans in the United States. However, the price of each bundle has yet to be determined. The official press release from Coca-Cola did not specify if the drink will also be available in a twin pack in Latin America and China.

How to buy Coca Cola Byte Pixel

The Coca-Cola Zero Sugar “Byte Pixel” will be available exclusively on www.coca-cola.com/creations in the United States, staying true to its inspiration. The site for purchasing the twin packs in the United States will remain available until supplies run out.

Meanwhile, the Byte Pixel drink will be accessible in extremely limited numbers in Latin America and China through “retail establishments.”

“Byte Pixel” will feature a “Concert on a Can” in Augmented Reality (AR)

The Coca-Cola Zero Sugar “Byte Pixel” will have a “Augmented Reality (AR) ‘Concert on a Can’ starring pop singer Ava Max,” according to the press release. In addition, Coca-Cola and Australian YouTuber Lachlan Power’s lifestyle gaming brand PWR have collaborated to create a digital island tied to Fortnite for the AR experience.

“This new Coca-Cola Creations taste is a great salute to gamers from one of the most recognisable brands in existence,” Power said in the press release.
