For the first time since revealing his diagnosis in June, Toby Keith opened up about his battle with stomach cancer. Toby Keith, 61, revealed he’s thinking about getting back into fighting shape during an appearance on CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown.” An online preview of Keith’s interview showed him saying: I’m thinking of getting back into fighting shape. In a preview of the interview shared online, Keith said: I need a little bit of time to rest and heal. It’s pretty debilitating to go through all that, the singer explained. As long as everything stays in order, we’ll be able to look forward to something good. In posts on his Instagram and Twitter accounts, the singer announced that he was undergoing treatment for stomach cancer. My stomach cancer was diagnosed last fall, he wrote.

In the last six months, I have undergone chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. It’s going well so far. To recover, breathe, and relax, I need time. My family and I are looking forward to spending this time together. However, I will see the fans as soon as possible. Can’t wait to see you. His upcoming shows for the remainder of the year were cancelled as a result. He did, however, appear at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Ky. on 4th November, performing songs such as “I Love This Bar” and “Sweet Home Alabama.” At the BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tenn., Toby Keith received the BMI Icon Award on 8th November, joining a distinguished list of previous recipients, including Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams, Jr.

Toby Keith Provides Update On Treatment For Debilitating Stomach Cancer

When Toby Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer a few months ago, his fans became increasingly concerned. Recently, after being diagnosed with the disease, the singer appeared on CMT Hot 20 Countdown for the first time. During the interview, he stated that the condition made him feel weak and that it would take time for him to recover. Having to go through that is pretty debilitating, but as long as everything goes smoothly, we’ll be able to move forward. Keith performed at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky, last month. Despite his struggles with cancer, the food joint appreciated the artist’s appearance on social media. At the BMI Awards a few weeks ago, Toby Keith also received the BMI Icon Award. It was revealed earlier this year that Toby Keith has stomach cancer and has been battling it since 2021.

The dates of Keith’s Country Comes to Town tour have been removed from the website following his diagnosis. In a social media post on June 12, 2022, Toby Keith mentioned that he had been receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery for his disease. In another post, he thanked his fans for their love and support, calling them the “best fans in the world.” Before being diagnosed with stomach cancer, Keith performed at the Heroes Honor Festival at Daytona International Speedway as well as being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in November 2021. On Instagram earlier this week, Keith posted a sweet photo of himself with a young cancer patient, along with the message, “Thumbs up if you are celebrating #GivingTuesday by donating to the @tkfoundation1! OK Kids Korral provides a home away from home for children battling cancer and their families thanks to your donations. The Toby Keith Foundation was established by Keith in 2006 to provide support to children with cancer.
