Sherri Shepherd’s new daytime chat programme appears to have already lost one fan. Wendy Williams started to Fat Joe during a sit-down interview that, while she misses The Wendy Williams Show, she won’t be checking in to Sherri anytime soon.

“I wish I could be there. I wish I could be there right now to discuss it “She revealed this to the rapper in an interview published on Friday, May 6. “I’m glad I’ll be able to talk about it when I go back, you know?” When Wendy Williams was forced to take an extended hiatus due to a series of health difficulties, Sherri Shepherd would take over the legendary chatfest’s schedule with her own talk show.

Now, the former radio DJ appears to be indicating that the show isn’t dead and buried. Wendy Williams didn’t hesitate when asked if she meant a totally new series or if she planned to return to her former programme. “I’m going to The Wendy Williams Show,” she stated emphatically. “Absolutely. Without a doubt.” Wendy Williams isn’t convinced about Sherri Shepherd’s new programme. She even interrupted the podcaster to criticise another talk show presenter.”I’m not going to watch her because I know what she’ll be doing, and that’s not really my thing… you know what I mean?” she murmured, quickly returning her focus to her own future goals. “But I enjoy having my own show. And I adore how many people like watching it all the time.”

Wendy Williams hinted about a big comeback at Met Gala

This isn’t the first time Wendy Williams has hinted about a big comeback for The Wendy Williams Show. At a Met Gala afterparty earlier this week, the 57-year-old looked to be back to her old self, looking better than ever. When asked by a photographer if she planned to return to television soon, she said, “Obviously! Wendy Williams’ show will go on in perpetuity!” The troubled television star seemed to have high hopes for her big comeback. She was recently seen joyfully conversing with financial expert Baruch Shemtov on her ongoing legal struggle with Wells Fargo and her return to television.
