Michael Jordan Attempts To Broker Peace Between Wack 100 And Charleston White, His Wife Yanks Him Away From The Situation
Michael Jordan has recently grabbed headlines for his Charlotte Hornets deal, while additionally going viral for an eight-year-old video in which MJ attempted to break up a fight between Wack 100 and Charleston White, who were ready to fight, but MVP’s wife Yvette Prieto prevented him from getting involved. Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto attended the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight in 2015, and as they were leaving, MJ noticed a dispute between record producer Wack100 and internet celebrity Charleston White. MJ’s larger-than-life personality was tested by a simple disagreement as he attempted to mediate peace and cool the situation between both guys, but his wife, Yvette Prieto, did not approve of her husband getting involved. As the disagreement became more intense, Michael Jordan was pushed away from it, and the pair eventually turned to the other side of the parking lot, where the escalation occurred.
In a subsequent YouTube interview, Wack100 stated that on his way out of the Pacman vs. Mayweather bout, someone was elbowing another to get past, and Wack100 glanced back to see White approaching him. When the situation became heated, MJ stepped in to calm things down while there was rumours of a gun nearby. It is still unknown who possessed the pistol or where it came from, but it is evident that Prieto did not want to be a part of an unneeded conflict. So Prieto did what any wife would do to protect her husband: she drew him away from danger or anything that could injure him, especially when weapons were mentioned. Wack 100 is an ex-music manager and Charleston White is a popular social media influencer. The reason for this altercation is unknown, but Jordan was present to separate the two before they left the area. Jordan was the NBA’s sole Black governor until he relinquished his post to new Hornets owners Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall.
