Lulu shared a new TikTok video in which she was visibly moved as she recalled her attendance at the Queen’s coronation. The 73-year-old singer recalls being requested to sing a song by her late father when she was four years old and being labelled “a star for the day.”

She spoke to her 5,600 Twitter followers, saying: ‘I recall the Coronation of the Queen.’ In my hometown of Glasgow, where I grew up, there was a street celebration when I was four years old. I also recall being on my father’s shoulders, singing a song for the Queen’s Coronation. It went over incredibly well, like a storm, and I was a street celebrity for the day.’

She next sang Dickie Valentine’s In A Golden Coach, but she was melancholy and teary-eyed when she sung the two verses. Happy Platinum Jubilee, everyone, she whispered with a sigh.
