US Marshals captured a Brian Laundrie Lookalike
US Marshals on the hunt for Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie, the single person of interest in Gabby Petito’s killing. He assaulted an upstate New Yorker on the Appalachian Path at the point of a gun on October 7, 2021. Mistaking him for Laundrie due to their close similarity.
According to Meaww, Severin Beckwith and Anna Brettmann of Ithaca were at the Lodge at Fontana Village Resort when US Marshals barged inside.
“Subsequent factor I see is a bunch of men with riot shields with US Marshals written on them, handguns pointed at my face,” Beckwith stated. The Marshals rapidly handcuffed the hiker.
Beck was verified by the US Marshals with a picture of him. That was obtained by a Lodge employee and sent to investigators.
According to official reports, both Laundrie and Beckwith are blond, slim, and have shaved heads and whiskers.
Beckwith was largely succeeded after the marshals conducted additional inspections. He produced his identity card and, unlike Laundrie, he did not even have the same tattoos.
“On this occasion, the Graham County Sheriff’s Workplace (GCSO) in North Carolina had obtained a tip that the fugitive Brian Laundrie. Which had been sighted of their jurisdiction,” stated a U.S. Marshals spokesperson to Vice Information in an announcement.
