Travis Scott Sued by Fans for Astroworld Crowd Surge Where 8 People Died

AstroWorld festival organized on 5th Nov, by popular rapper Travis Scott, had unfortunately created major chaos that took 8 lives. One of the injured concertgoers has reported a petition against Travis Scott in Harris County District Court. He stated the incident preventable and predictable tragedy. The victim, Manuel Souza, asked the court for compensation for the damages of $1 billion. A temporary restraining order for protecting the evidence was also requested by him. He feared evidence tampering by the officials of AstroWorld Festival. The lawsuit obtained from sources includes the name of Live Nation, Scott’s cactus Jack records, and many more.

The night which was expected to be the fun night had immensely resulted in the deadliest night for the concertgoers. The incident could be prevented by the defendants, for the sake of the safety of concertgoers, who took eight lives. Prevention on time did not happen because of the motive to earn a profit, even after the situation became worse.
Manuel Souza, the victim, had claimed to face severe injuries because of the mismanagement of the defendants. They didn’t care about the thousands of lives and promoted the chaos, that was escalated hours earlier.

The lawsuit also claims that the incident unfolded after the concertgoers breached the security barricade. They got involved in the situation that occurred in the last AstroWorld festival that was held in 2019. But previously the management took a proper decision that did not let the crowd face any harmful incidents.

Controversial History of Scott’s Concerts including AstroWorld

The legal team of Manuel Souza had eventually spotted the history of Travis Scott and his concerts. They stated the evidence that Scott has always been into encouraging riots. A concert that occurred in 2017 faced a riot. Scott was arrested and later pled guilty because of the mismanaged conduct of the show. It also leads to endangering the welfare of a minor.

An incident occurred in 2015 where Travis Scott was arrested because of the disorderly conduct of his show. The incident claimed to encourage the audience to break the rules and create chaos by climbing over the security barricades. After the fans joined him on the stage the concert was called off within 5 minutes, as per the sources

People Shifted to Hospital

The incident took place on 5th November at NRG Park, Houston, Texas around 9.38 pm, leaving 300 people injured. 17 patients were immediately admitted to the hospital. 12 people of them were transported through Houston fire department ambulance, 5 with the help of Harris County emergency services. 11 of them were claimed to suffer cardiac arrest. 8 people died and the reason has not been cleared yet by the Hospital. The fest was canceled for 6th November.

As per sources, Travis Scott’s team said the situation that occurred during the concert was unknown for the rapper. Because of the extreme lighting on the stage, Travis Scott was unable to see the audience and the magnitude of the chaos.
Later through his social media handle, Scott expressed his feelings about the incident. He wrote, “Working right now to identify the families to assist them through this tough time. My fans mean the world to me, and I always want to leave them with a positive experience.”
