Travis Scott has emerged as a possible replacement for 21 Savage for Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ show in Vancouver. The announcement that Drake’s Vancouver concert would be rescheduled until the next day, rumours began to circulate on social media, particularly on Twitter. The postponement was apparently due to technical and safety issues at the venue. It’s worth mentioning, though, that 21 Savage said in March that he would not be joining Drake on his Canadian tour owing to unresolved visa concerns. Many speculate that Travis Scott may fill in, at least for the Vancouver performances.
Some ardent fans on social media claimed to have seen Travis Scott’s plane land in Vancouver earlier this week, with reported photos of the artist lighted on the Vancouver stage fueling the rumor mill. While no official confirmation of Travis Scott possibly replacing 21 Savage on Drake’s Canadian tour has been issued, the prospect has stirred enthusiasm among fans. Nothing has been confirmed, but if Trav does replace 21 Savage, he and Drizzy will have plenty of fantastic songs to run through, including their Grammy-nominated classic “Sicko Mode” and their new collaborative single “Meltdown,” which is on Scott’s current albumUTOPIA.
According To Rumors Mill On The Internet Travis Scott Is Rumored To Replace 21 Savage On Drake’s Canada Tour Dates
Travis Scott has emerged as a rumored replacement for 21 Savage on Drake’s Canadian tour dates, as suspicion mounts following the 6 God’s latest gig cancellation. The rumors initially surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday night (August 28), when it was revealed that Drizzy’s It’s All A Blur Tour engagement in Vancouver would be rescheduled for Tuesday (August 29) and Wednesday (August 30). The refusal was apparently due to technical and safety issues at the venue, however, it was disclosed in March that 21 Savage would not be accompanying the 6 God on his home soil. Because of 21’s ongoing visa troubles, there’s been a lot of conjecture about who Drizzy would bring with him to Canada. Fans have no doubt that Travis Scott will fill in for the Atlanta rapper, at least for the Vancouver performances. Some X fans said that La Flame’s plane was witnessed arriving in Vancouver earlier this week and that photographs of Trav being illuminated on the Vancouver stage were taken.
Savage was apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in 2019 when it was revealed that he was born in the United Kingdom & had overstayed his visa. According to ICE spokesman Brian Cox, the rapper (actual name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) was apprehended as part of a “targeted operation.” 21 had long been associated with Atlanta, and it was considered that he was just another local ATL act, but Cox revealed that he was an “illegally present United Kingdom national” who entered the country legitimately in July 2005 on a visa. His visa, however, supposedly expired a year later, and he has remained in the United States illegally ever since. 21 Savage’s immigration problems reappeared in April 2022, when it was revealed that his case was still in limbo due to an ongoing criminal case in DeKalb County, Georgia. Despite the severe impact these travel limitations have had on 21’s career, he’s been able to make light of the issue in a few instances, like a spoof interview with Howard Stern that he and Drake performed to promote their joint effort Her Loss.
