Here is everything you need to know.
The Try Guys address Ned Fulmer’s controversy
The Try Guys recently shared a video on their YouTube channel titled, ‘what happened.’
The clip came a week after they announced the departure of Ned Fulmer.
The comedy troupe members Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger were seated on a couch. They spoke solemnly to the camera.
Habersberger clarified, ‘We just want you to know that we had no idea this was going on. All of that information was just as shocking to us as all of this has been for you this week.’
Furthermore, they revealed that they are gradually editing Fulmer out of their videos over the last couple of weeks.
Kornfeld said, ‘We want to give you a timeline of what’s transpired and some transparency into our decision-making.’
The Try Guys unveil the timeline of Ned Fulmer’s drama
Keith Habersberger admitted that they found out about Ned Fulmer’s infidelity on the weekend of Labor Day after multiple fan messages.
A Reddit user claim that they saw Fulmer getting intimate with a woman who is not his wife around the same time. The woman was later confirmed to be Try Guys producer and employee Alexandria Herring.
Subsequently, they mentioned Fulmer was booted from the company on 16th September after three-week of the HR review process.
Habersberger noted, ‘We chose not to rush into the announcement for a few reasons. Namely, there are real people who have been affected, and while we consider this a company matter, there’s just also a family at the center of this.’
Kornfeld on the other hand said, ‘We’re losing a friend. We’re losing someone we built a company with, have countless memories with.’
Fans react to the Try Guys’ new video
Several fans took to social media to support the remaining members of the Try Guys.
One fan wrote, ‘The fact that the #tryguys refused to sweep anything under the rug just because he was their friend makes me respect Eugene, Zach, and Keith 100000% more.’
Another chimed in saying, ‘Not #tryguys putting out a better apology for something they didn’t do than most of the creators that have done one.’
Meanwhile, a different user joked, ‘Eugene: Here lies my friendship with Ned. Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks.’
