The city that never sleeps is getting ready to wake up. After more than a month of working day and night, the mayor said New York City will fully reopen on July 1. The mayor of the city Bill de Blasio has confirmed in a recent report.
City officials announced that all city offices and services will be open to residents and visitors for the first time since the initial outbreak of the deadly strain of Covid-19.The city’s transport system reopens from July1, nearly a year after the last shut down. During that time, the city has been quarantined for safety.Shortly after Hurricane Sandy, pockets of activity began to return to the city. The airports have returned to regular full functioning and the subways are running again. Major parks are open and businesses like restaurants, gyms, shops, hair salons and arenas will open at full capacity. Finally, once small theaters reopen, Broadway shows will be back in session by September. Schools will be back at “full strength” in the fall.
There are now more cases of coronavirus in New York City than there are Starbucks locations. Though the city has suffered a lot in previous times due to the covid pandemic but now they are looking for something positives in this tough times. New York state is a progressive state that loves to eat and drink. On Wednesday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the state will lift dining curfews statewide and a ban on bar seating in the city starting in May. Indoor dining curfews are set to end by May 31. These positive things are now essential for every country and state.
