In a dramatic turn of events, Rebel Wilson is being sued by the producers of her directorial debut, “The Deb,” just days after she publicly accused them of misconduct on social media. On July 10, Wilson, 44, took to Instagram to post a detailed video alleging “bad behavior” from producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron, and executive producer Vince Holden. According to Rebel Wilson, her complaints were met with “absolute viciousness and retaliatory behavior,” and she further accused the producers of blocking the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The lawsuit, filed by Ghost, Cameron, and Holden, claims defamation and seeks to hold Wilson accountable for what they describe as an attempt to “bully” them into meeting her “unreasonable demands.” The producers argue that Wilson’s statements, accusing them of embezzling funds and engaging in inappropriate behavior on set, are baseless and have caused irreparable damage to their reputations.
