Rapper Quando Rondo, known for his raw lyricism and tumultuous life, recently shared his plans for the future as he prepares to serve a 33-month prison sentence. The artist, sentenced for conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana, has indicated he might retire from music once his sentence is complete.

Reflecting on a Tumultuous Year

2024 has been a whirlwind for Quando Rondo. Earlier in the year, he was reportedly targeted in a murder-for-hire scheme connected to Lil Durk’s arrest. However, Rondo’s own legal troubles soon overshadowed these events. Following his sentencing on December 12, the rapper largely remained silent until December 18, when he posted a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram.

“I just caught 33 months, the whole world know it,” Rondo wrote. Despite his impending incarceration, he assured his supporters and loved ones that he would fulfill his promises to them. “If I promised anybody something, they’re going to get it. My word is my word.”

In the same post, Quando Rondo suggested that his time in prison might mark the end of his music career. “Once I do this lil’ time, I promise you I’m disappearing and never talking to people again,” he wrote, hinting at a desire to step away from the limelight.

While he didn’t elaborate on his post-prison plans, Rondo has previously expressed his longing for a peaceful life. In November, he shared how converting to Islam has given him a sense of tranquility. “It just gave me good peace and energy,” Rondo explained. “Taking my shot and being a part of Islam, it gave me some of the best energy I ever had.”

Beyond his personal growth, Quando Rondo has also voiced a desire to leave violence behind. Following Lil Durk’s arrest earlier this year, Rondo refrained from mocking his rival, choosing instead to reflect on the violent upbringing that shaped their lives.

“We didn’t get into this industry just to stay trapped in this street life,” he stated. “We have families and communities counting on us. It’s time to leave all that behind. We’ve lost too much already.”

As he prepares to serve his sentence, Quando Rondo appears committed to making significant changes in his life. Whether he decides to retire from music entirely or return with a renewed perspective, his reflections show a deep desire for growth, peace, and a future far removed from the chaos of his past. Fans will undoubtedly watch closely as this chapter of his life unfolds.
