Mike Tyson recently opened up about his problems on his podcast ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.’
Therapist Sean McFarland, who specializes in trauma and addiction, guest starred in the podcast interview.
However, during the interview, the former boxing champ shared morbid details about how he feels he’s inching closer to death.
The 56-year-old athlete said, ‘We’re all gonna die one day of course.’
Tyson further pointed out, ‘Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face, I say, “Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon”.’

Mike Tyson was clearly in a reminiscing mood on the podcast as he spoke about how money does not buy happiness.
The Iron Mike admitted, ‘Money doesn’t mean s***t to me. I always tell people – they think money’s gonna make them happy, they’ve never had money before – when you have a lot of money, you can’t expect anybody to love you. How am I gonna confess my love to you when you have $500 billion?
He further continued, ‘The false sense of security. You believe nothing can happen. You don’t believe the banks could collapse. You believe that you’re invincible when you have a lot of money, which isn’t true. That’s why I always say money is a false sense of security.’
The professional boxer went on to confirm that he often has conversations with his third wife Lakiha Spicer where she claims that money will offer her peace and security after Tyson’s eventual death.
Tyson first tied the knot with Robin Givens in 1988 however parted ways a year later in 1989. He married Monica Turner in 1997 but went in to divorce her in 2003.
Tyson mentioned, ‘When you put money in your bank and you get a cheque every week and you can live for the rest of your life, is that security?’
He added, ‘It doesn’t mean you won’t catch a disease, or get hit by a car. Can money secure you when you jump off a bridge?’
Meanwhile, according to reports Tyson is the leading subject of an upcoming Disney+ series titled Mike. It will be an ‘unauthorized and no-holds-barred’ retelling of the controversial athlete’s life.
