Here is everything you need to know.

Meghan Trainor addresses her weight loss journey

Meghan Trainor has returned to the music industry following a two-year hiatus with her recent album titled, ‘Takin’ it Back.’

In addition, Trainor has successfully made a comeback and is proving to re-establish herself as a hit-maker in the music industry.

Moreover, the 24-year-old singer recently talked about the criticisms that urged her to pursue weight loss after she gave birth in February 2021.

Additionally, Trainor revealed that the nurses judged her after she welcomed her son Riley.

Trainor said that Riley unusually slept a lot following his birth. Hence, the nurses seemingly blamed it on the antidepressants she took when she was pregnant.

But, the No singer pointed out that she consumed the lowest and safest dose of the medication which her doctor prescribed. Thus, it was not the reason for her baby’s lethargy.

Additionally, Trainor addressed the challenges new mothers face especially when they are judged for their decisions.

She mentioned, ‘I made sure it was safe and talked to my doctors. They told me, “if you’re happy, then your body will be happy and then your baby will be happy.”‘

Furthermore, she continued, ‘I haven’t had any postpartum depression or anything. I think the medicine definitely helped.’

Meghan Trainor gets honest about her weight loss journey

Meghan Trainor sat down with ET Canada in November 2022 where she detailed her 60-pound weight loss journey after giving birth to her son with husband Daryl Sabara.

The pop star claimed that she had gained her heaviest weight during her pregnancy and weighed more than 200 pounds.

Trainor went on to explain, ‘I just wasn’t feeling great. I’ve never had stitches, so to have this C-section scar, I was in a really dark place and I wanted to be in a great place for my son.’

Subsequently, the No Excuses singer then decided to work and challenge herself in order to get her happiness back.

She said, ‘I was like, “If I can survive a C-section, I can do anything!”‘

Trainor then revealed that she now became ‘dedicated’ to her new healthy lifestyle.

She shared, ‘I learned that I do like healthy food and I learned what portions mean. And I learned my brain is so happy when I exercise, so I’m just [feeling] better than ever.’
