As per sources, Rebel Wilson and Matt Reid met each other through their common friends Brittany Hockley and her boyfriend Jordan Thompson. Reportedly, Jordan Thompson is also an Australian tennis player because of which he had a close connection with Matt.
At the award function, AACTA, all of the four celebs visited. Rebel Wilson wore an outfit of a short black dress with silver detailing. On the other side, Matt Reid was looking crisp in his White Tuxedo attire.

Matt Reid is also known by his nickname Reidy who is a professional Australian tennis player. He started playing tennis at the age of 7 and with extreme talent he has achieved a double ranking of 85 on ATPtour.com. Matt Reid was born on 17th July 1990 in Sydney. He was raised in Gaston, New South Wales. Later he shifted from there after receiving a scholarship at Nick Bollettieri Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
He started playing professional tennis matches at the age of 19. He was given this opportunity after he competed in the Junior Wimbledon Doubles championship, in the year 2008, along with Bernard Tomic.
Other than tennis he also loves playing rugby. Becoming a rugby player was his backup plan if he had not succeeded in tennis. He has three siblings, including twin sisters. He is very close to his family and prefers spending quality time with them.
