Having had her third child, the tidying-up guru revealed that her priorities have drastically changed. Those unfamiliar with Marie Kondo have been following her on social media platforms and on bookshelves since her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up came out. As a result of her popularity online, she starred in the Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Her name has also become a verb since she gained notoriety in pop culture.

Her signature catchphrases, such as This one sparks joy, prompted a multitude of hilarious jokes online. It has recently come to the attention of the 38-year-old that, despite being known for keeping a clean environment, this is not actually how she lives on a day-to-day basis. With the growth of her family, Kondo acknowledged that her priorities have changed. Marie Kondo told the Washington Post in a recent event: Until now, I was a professional tidier, so I tried to keep my home as tidy as possible. My perspective on that has changed in a good way. I realize now that spending time with my children at home is what is most important to me.
