Lana Parrilla is coming forward to respond to the backlash she received over her connection to Ryan Adams.

Here is everything you need to know.

Why was Lana Parrilla being slammed on Instagram?

On 3rd August, some users discovered an exchange between Lana Parrilla and Ryan Adams in the comment section of one of her Instagram photos.

In the exchange, the duo shared heart emojis which sparked rumors that they might be seeing each other in secret. However, Parrilla’s fans believe that the actress is on friendly terms with him.

If you didn’t know, Adams was previously accused of sexual misconduct by his former wife Mandy Moore, Phoebe Bridgers, and five other women in the earlier months of 2019.

The songwriter however denied the allegations. He further wrote a series of tweets and apologized to anyone he ‘ever hurt’.

Regardless, Adams issued a formal apology through a letter in The Daily Mail in 2020.

In his lengthy letter, he wrote, ‘There is no way to convince people that this time is truly different, but this is the albatross that I deserve to carry with me as a result of my actions.’

Moreover, users accused Parrilla of hanging out with Adams and brought his past allegations back into the picture. However, she was repeatedly trolled for her link with Adams.

Some fans came to Lana Parrilla’s defense

While some fans were trying to ruin Lana Parrilla’s career and reputation over her being friendly with Ryan Adams, others shared support messages with her.

Parrilla also responded to a few of them. She admitted in one of the tweets, that the trolls did not bother her in the least as she had gone through much worse things.
