The legal action centers on claims that Tasha K threatened to release damaging content unless a six-figure ransom was paid.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Page Six, Tasha K interviewed Kevin Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, making false and defamatory statements about Hart. Subsequently, an alleged affiliate of Tasha K demanded a $250,000 ransom, threatening to publish the damaging interview related to Hart’s marriage and business dealings.
Upon receiving the alleged extortion demand, Kevin Hart’s team reportedly contacted the police and issued a cease-and-desist letter to Tasha K. The letter highlighted that Shakes had previously signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Confidentiality Agreement during her employment with Hart from 2017 to 2020.
Release of the Controversial Interview:
Despite legal warnings, Tasha K proceeded to release the full interview on her subscription-based website on December 22. The interview covered various legal disputes involving Hart, along with claims of a gambling addiction and habitual infidelity.
