Kanye West has made a striking move in the real estate world, purchasing an impressive $35 million mansion in Beverly Hills. This acquisition follows the sale of his controversial Malibu property, which he had attempted to transform into a unique, bunker-like residence. Kanye’s new estate, an off-market purchase conducted through an LLC, brings him into the exclusive Beverley Park North neighborhood, a community known for its sprawling properties and celebrity residents.

Kanye’s New Beverly Hills Oasis

Stretching across seven acres, Kanye’s Beverly Hills estate spares no luxury. The property boasts 11 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms, complemented by a suite of amenities fit for a resort. Among the highlights are two swimming pools: a resort-style pool complete with a waterfall, and a separate lap pool. For entertainment, the estate includes a tennis court and an expansive “entertainment pavilion” set against lush, landscaped surroundings.

The new Beverly Hills estate represents a fresh start for Kanye following the recent sale of his Malibu mansion, which had become a focal point of controversy. In a month-long turnaround, Kanye transitioned from selling the Malibu house for $21 million to purchasing the Beverly Hills estate. Reports suggest the Malibu property was sold for a steep loss, as Kanye originally bought it in 2021 for $57 million. His ambitious attempt to remodel it as a “bomb shelter from the 1910s” ultimately fell short, leading to the recent sale.

Malibu Property’s Rocky Past

Kanye’s vision for the Malibu home was unconventional from the start. Inspired by his penchant for minimalist and futuristic designs, Kanye West reportedly stripped the house of basic features, including windows and electricity, to create a fortress-like ambiance. However, the project faced significant setbacks, including a lawsuit from Tony Saxon, the project manager overseeing the renovation. Saxon alleged that Kanye disregarded critical labor and safety regulations during the project, prompting a legal dispute over back wages and working conditions.

Saxon’s attorney, Neema Rahman, expressed relief at the Malibu property’s sale, seeing it as a potential resolution for Saxon’s $1 million lawsuit. She noted, “Tony worked as the construction project manager and 24/7 security guard when Kanye West was having the home gutted, and Kanye put him through hell, violating numerous labor codes and employment laws in the process.” She further added that the property was “a Picasso on the water” before Kanye’s renovations began, highlighting the loss of the home’s original charm.

The new Malibu owner, Bo Belmont of Belwood Investments, has ambitious plans to restore the property to its original form. Belmont described his vision, saying, “My goal is to make it as though Kanye was never there.” He plans to invest $8 million in the renovation, aiming to erase any traces of Kanye’s unusual renovation attempts and return the home to its previous state.

Kanye’s Real Estate Legacy

With this latest purchase, Kanye has shifted gears from experimental designs to a more traditional approach to luxury living. His acquisition of the Beverly Hills mansion marks a new chapter in his real estate journey, moving past the challenging Malibu chapter and into a residence better suited to his current lifestyle.

As Kanye West settles into his new Beverly Hills mansion, fans and real estate enthusiasts alike are left wondering if this is the end of his unique architectural ventures or merely a new phase. Known for pushing creative boundaries, Kanye’s past attempts at redefining property design may yet be followed by future innovations.
