Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial is getting further sensationalized four months after the verdict was announced.
Tubi is all set to release the controversial Depp vs Heard defamation trial movie. It is a dramatized flick and is titled, ‘Hot Take: The Johnny Depp/Heard Trial.’
Furthermore, the film features Mark Hapka as Depp while Megan Davis is going to portray the role of the Aquaman actress.
The Days of Our Lives actor is seen wearing Depp’s signature goatee and ponytail. The 33-year-old actress on the other hand is mimicking much-discussed outfits of Heard.
Nevertheless, James Franco will be a subject of discussion for the warring exes in the forthcoming film.
In the trailer, we can see Hapka reading a script over Davis’s shoulder as he says, ‘Another one with James Franco?.’
Hapka responds by saying, ‘Are you jealous of him, too?’
Meanwhile, the film will also include the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s courtroom nonchalance and Heard facing intense scrutiny on social media.
Additionally, a reporter in the trailer mentions, ‘It’s day one of the Depp vs. Heard defamation trial. Though fans are showing support for both sides, there’s clearly a favorite here.’
How is James Franco connected to Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation case?
James Franco’s name was often mentioned during a staggering six weeks of testimony in the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation trial.
Depp’s legal team claimed that Heard cheated on the 59-year-old actor with her Pineapple Express co-star.
Heard’s lawyer on the other hand stated that Depp assaulted her for the alleged infidelity.
The 36-year-old actress said in one of her testimonies, ‘He hated James Franco. He was accusing me of having a thing with him in the past since I had filmed Pineapple Express with him.’
If you didn’t know, Depp sued Heard for a 2018 Washington Post in which she identifies herself as a survivor of domestic abuse. Read, Heard countersued Depp for $100 million for the remarks his lawyer said about her.
The trial concluded with the seven-person jury determining Depp as the victor in the case. Moreover, they awarded him $15 million in damages.
