Joe Bennett always comes into controversy owing to his cartoons. Cartoons are generally the depictions of the maker’s views and perspective towards any situation. Joe’s perspective proved to be offensive.
The cartoon depicted Jair Bolsonaro as the prince whereas other politicians particularly depicted that of the Labour Party as the insignificant features. Some are depicted with sharp ears and others with long noses. However, on creature looks like a vampire. People on social media guess it as the former president Michel Temer.
In the cartoon, Jair as the prince is riding on his horse dressed with golden armor beheading his political opponents. This cartoon has gone viral now and has caused severe problems in Joe Bennett’s career.
Al Ewing’s Response
Joe Bennett worked with Al Ewing in marvel’s immortal hulk in 2018. Their series became super hit and won many prizes like a Diamond Gem Award in 2018 for Best New Comic Book Series, and was nominated for Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series of 2019.
From Ewing’s tweets, it’s clear that once his final series of Immortal Hulk #50 is released on 13 October 2021 then he will not work with Bennett any further. After his tweet which is shown below, he has regretted and showed the screenshots of the donations he made for Rainbow Railroad and Rainforest Trust.
