Famous Barbadian singer, Rihanna was recently crowned “National Hero” in her hometown Barbados. But while this news made headlines, another news rather rumors speculating Rihanna’s pregnancy with ASAP Rocky’s baby spread like a forest fire. But in reality, it’s not true.
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky finally got committed in 2021 after a decade of friendship and have been the ultimate power couple ever since. While fans were happy for them, they also suspected that the couple wanted to start a family together. The suspicions became real when Rihanna appeared at the Barbados event and seemed to have a baby bump.
When Did The Rumors Start?
Rumors about Rihanna’s pregnancy with ASAP Rocky’s baby started after Rihanna’s appearance at the Barbados event as fans suspected that she seemed to have a baby bump in some of the pictures.
This rumor was further spread on Twitter by a verified account “The Academy” which tweeted: “Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with A$AP Rocky.” But they didn’t provide any factual data on the subject. It is very much possible that the Twitter page had started the rumor in the first place after which it spread like wildfire.
Is Rihanna Pregnant or Not?
The rumor doesn’t seem to be true as just a day before Rihanna appeared at Barbados, she had shown off her gorgeous body while promoting Fenty Pyjamas on her Instagram Story.
The singer was also spotted wearing her latest collection of blue check shirt pajamas from Fenty. Even though the collection didn’t get much love it does prove that Rihanna’s pregnancy rumors are baseless.
Rihanna Crowned “National Hero Of Barbados”
The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley went on to crown Rihanna the title of “national hero” because of her “extraordinary commitment to the land of her birth” according to The Guardian.
Mottley also applauded Rihanna for: “the imagination of the world through the pursuit of excellence with her creativity, her discipline, and above all else, her extraordinary commitment to the land of her birth On behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people, we therefore present to you the designee for the national hero of Barbados, Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty.”
She eventually ended her speech by quoting one of Rihanna’s famous tracks saying “May you continue to shine like a diamond.”
