Howard Stern & Bill Maher have been out with each other. On Tuesday’s broadcast of The Howard Stern Show, the 69-year-old radio host stated that he and the political pundit, 67, had a falling out when Maher made comments about his marriage. The statements were made during an edition of Maher’s Club Random podcast, in which he criticised Stern for openly proclaiming his love for his wife of nearly 15 years, Beth Stern, & referred to the fact that his comments were detrimental to his first wife, Alison Berns. “How does the first wife react about all this adoration for the second wife?”
“Couldn’t we just not rave about the other person whilst the other individual can still hear us?” the Real Time with Bill Maher presenter wondered. Stern and Berns married in 1978, but they divorced in 2001 after separating in 2000. He and Beth, an animal rights activist, began dating in 2000 after meeting at a dinner party and married in 2008. They’ve been together since then. On Tuesday’s broadcast of The Howard Stern Show, the media celebrity reacted angrily to Maher’s unfair comments about his relationships, claiming that he “ought to shut his mouth.” Stern remarried Beth in a surprise ceremony on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2019, just a week after re-proposing to her on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

After making ‘sexist’ statements about his wife, Howard Stern recommended Bill Maher to ‘shut his mouth’. The 69-year-old shock jock stated why he and the Real Time host are no longer friends after the Real Time host grumbled about how often he talks about his wife. “[Howard Stern] goes on about the way much he adores his wife, Beth, which he has been saying on the air for, like, 10 years,” Maher, 67, said on Monday’s episode of his Club Random podcast. “But we know that Howard had this other wife before Beth,” Maher said, referring to Alison Berns, who divorced Stern in 2001. “So he’s trying to portray me as the slightly immoral one since I haven’t settled down,” Maher explained. “Couldn’t we just gush about the person whereas the other person hears it?” Stern has been steadily married to Beth Ostrosky since 2008. “I am reluctant to get caught up in a fight with him,” Maher continued. We’ve finally mended our relationship…and things are going swimmingly.” Stern slammed Maher, a longtime friend, for being “sexist.” “What a sexist thing to say!” exclaimed The Howard Stern Show host on Tuesday.
