YouTube may have dropped its yearly Flashback segment, but it does have plans to conclude the year with a loud bang. On the 16th and 17th of December, an immersive 24-hour webcast occasion entitled Escape2021 will take place.

Viewers will engage in activities depending on this year’s trends, engage in “actual experiences,” and respond to trivia questions through the chat session, according to sources. Viewers will be able to see a live concert by a surprise guest if they have completed all of the tasks.

YouTube Rewind was officially canceled during October, prompting the introduction of Escape2021. As per The Verge, YouTube Rewind featured “the high-production review films the business produced at the end of every year.”

It’s an understatement to say that YouTube producers aren’t lovers of YouTube Rewind. According to The Verge, YouTube developers have accused the company of purifying the site in order to draw attention to advertisers.

YouTube recognized in a tweet response on its official Twitter page in October that perhaps the YouTube Rewind movies don’t really represent the entire spectrum of material generated by creators on the system. So they decided to introduce Youtube Escape2021.
