After two years of bitter negotiations, three-time Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson and her ex Brandon Blackstock have finally settled their divorce.

After nearly seven years of marriage, the 39-year-old singer announced in June 2020 that she and her talent manager, 45, had split. If TMZ is to be believed, she will pay $45,601 per month for her two children River and Remington.

The terms were approved by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon, who intends to make Clarkson the primary caregiver of their two children — Remington, 5, and River, 7. Blackstock, who lives in Montana, plans to visit their children at least once a month.

What will Blackstock be required to pay Kelly Clarkson Show’s host?

Although Blackstock is allowed to live there until June 1, Clarkson will keep the Montana ranch owned by the former couple. While he waits, he must pay $12,500 a month in rent.

A previous agreement between Blackstock and the “Breakaway” singer gave him over five percent ownership. A share of the company that is valued at $17,750,000 would be worth $908,800 to him.

Blackstock first claimed the house in October last year during a heated custody dispute. But Clarkson argued that it was “marital property” and not a part of their prenuptial agreement.

Blackstock will be required to pay Kelly Clarkson Show host spousal support on a monthly basis of $115,000. However, that will end in January 2024. Blackstock also receives $45,600 in child support per month from Clarkson.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer will have to pay Blackstock $2,000 a month to stay at their Montana ranch, while Clarkson receives both of their Montana properties.

In addition to the family pets, a Ford Bronco, a Ford F-250, and a Porsche Cayenne, the singer will also get a flight simulator, according to the court documents.

The former couple will give Blackstock several CAT snowmobiles, an ATV, multiple Ford F-350s, and livestock, such as cattle, sheep, and dogs. A golf simulator and a pair of Patek Philippe watches will also be part of his prize package.

Why did Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock split?

They came into conflict on so many levels, and being in quarantine together exacerbated their conflict. Consequently, Clarkson filed for divorce,” a source close to her told Us in June 2020. Kelly and Brandon were thought to have the perfect marriage, but that was definitely not the case.

The difference between Brandon and Kelly is that Brandon is more laid-back and Kelly is more high-strung. It has changed things between them that Clarkson spends more time in California.

The father-in-law drama

The company owned by Brandon Blackstock’s father, Narvel Blackstock, sued Clarkson in September 2020. They were owed $1.4 million in unpaid commissions in addition to what had already been paid ($1.9 million).

Her father-in-law’s company has employed Clarkson since 2007. In addition, her paperwork claims she has failed to pay the full commission. She is owed for her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice in 2020, claiming she owes the organization at least $5.4 million by the end of the year.

In December 2021, Clarkson joked that she will be “single forever” after enduring such tumultuous – and costly – divorce proceedings.
