James Gunn, and his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Holland, are engaged! The two are dating each other since 2015, and they finally seem to be embarking on a new journey together. James Gunn took to Instagram to reveal the same.

The couple has been dating since 2015, and James Gunn announced the good news about their engagement on social media. Taking to Instagram, James Gunn posted a photo of his 34-year-old fiancée showing off her massive engagement ring while she holds a coffee cup. In the caption, he used a red heart and winking emoji.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Holland shared a photo of herself and her fiance, writing, “Happiness.”

Jennifer Holland and James Gunn have collaborated on many projects together. “The Suicide Squad” and HBO Max’s “Peacemaker” series featured Jennifer as Emilia Harcourt. Gunn’s friend Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Lex Luthor in the TV series Smallville, introduced them while he was dating one of Jennifer Holland’s friends. The director had asked Rosenbaum who Holland was when he saw a photograph of her. Rosenbaum offered to set them up.
Holland admitted she had never heard of James Gunn when Rosenbaum’s then-girlfriend approached her with the idea of a set-up, even though he had essentially become a household name since the summer of Guardians.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month, she acknowledged that she was initially wary about dating Gunn. After looking him up online, she found him “incredibly charming in interviews.” She described James as a producer-director at the time. During their first date, she shared her whole life story with him, and they spent seven hours together before going out. Basically, they just clicked with each other.
Clearly, there’s a bit of a chasm between James Gunn and Jennifer Holland. Gunn is 55, and Holland is 34-years-old. However, the age gap doesn’t seem to bother them at all.
A number of fans and celebrities congratulated the happy couple.
From October 2000 to September 2008, James Gunn was married to ‘The Office’ star Jenna Fischer. Following the success of his hit show ‘Peacemaker’ featuring John Cena, Gunn recently revealed that he is developing a second spin-off TV series based on ‘The Suicide Squad’.
