Justin Bieber previously announced on Instagram that he suffers from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes one side of his face to be paralyzed.

After her husband Justin Bieber acknowledged his facial paralysis, Hailey Bieber provided fans an update. Because of his illness, Justin Bieber couldn’t grin properly and couldn’t blink one eye. Although he later stated that ‘every day has grown better’. His wife Hailey, 25, delivered a new update on the Grammy Award winner’s health during an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America.

When asked about her husband’s recent health problem, Hailey stated on the show, “He’s doing fantastically great. He is improving on a daily basis. He’s doing much better”. “Obviously, it was a really terrifying and odd event to occur, but he’ll be alright, and I’m just grateful that he’s okay,” she continued in the interview. Many admirers have offered well-wishes, suggestions, and ideas to the musician, and Hailey has described the response from fans and loved ones as “really fantastic.”

What is Ramsay Hunt syndrome?

When the virus that causes chickenpox in children reactivates, it causes inflammation and irritation of the facial nerves. It resulted in Ramsay Hunt syndrome, according to the National Organization for Rare Diseases. It’s unclear what causes the virus to reactivate, but it’s thought that a weakened immune system is to blame. This could also be caused by stress.

Symptoms include facial paralysis, difficulty closing eyes, hearing loss, and issues with facial emotions. The majority of patients regain their entire range of motion within a few weeks to months. In other cases, however, it may result in a permanent reduction in movement. In the treatment, antivirals and steroids are employed. Some doctors may also recommend facial exercises. However, there isn’t much proof that these work. According to the organization, this illness affects around five out of every 100,000 Americans each year.

Justin’s health problem follows Hailey’s admission to the hospital earlier this year with’stroke-like symptoms,’ and her subsequent surgery to close a hole in her heart. “I had an operation done to close this hole in my heart and I’m just allowing my body time to rest and recover,” Hailey stated when asked about her health. The model, who recently started her own skincare line, Rhode, said she is feeling much better now and is grateful to be off medication.
