The Smith family again makes the headlines. This time, however, a former flame of Will Smith, Garcelle Beauvais opens up about her short-lived relationship with the Men In Black actor before he tied the knot with Jada Pinkett Smith.
Haitian-American actress Garcelle Beauvais, gave an insight to the fans of the time when she decided to “exit stage left” during her brief fling with Smith in the 90s.

Garcelle Beauvais recently guest-starred on several episodes of the Las Culturistas podcast which was hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. The 55-year-old star is soon to return for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12.
During the interview, Beauvais revealed that she first met Will Smith on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Beauvais’s latest book titled Love Me As I Am mentions her causal relationship with Smith and described it as not very long-lasting.
Beauvais decided to break things off with Smith after learning that the relationship between Smith and Jada was evolving.
According to Beauvais, she called Smith one day when he was in a car with his former wife, Sheree Zampino, and their son, Trey. Smith picked up the phone and they were greeting each other when she heard a little voice in the back saying, ‘Is that Miss Jada?’.
Further in the podcast, Beauvais at that moment decided to break up with Smith saying, “And that’s when I was like okay—I’m not the only one. Exit stage left.”
Beauvais stated that if a child knows somebody then that person must be important.

In her memoir, Garcelle Beauvais revealed her relationship with basketball legend Michael Jordan.
The reality star actress met Jordan after a photoshoot and was easily impressed by him. They soon went on a date to a golf course where Jordan taught her how to hold a golf club and how to swing it.
Later, when Jordan invited her for a romantic vacation in Hawaii she declined it. She now regrets it and calls her younger self a naive little girl.
The Real alum married producer Daniel Saunders in 1991. They welcomed a son, Oliver Saunders the same year. The pair however parted ways in 2000.
A year later in 2001, Beauvais married Creative Artists Agency talent agent, Mike Nilon. She gave birth to twins, Jax Joseph and Jaid Thomas Nilon in 2007. The duo separated in 2010.
