It seems like Flavor Flav should give another shot to Spirit Airlines. This comes after his rant over missed flight in Las Vegas.
A source close to Flav claimed that the airlines conducted a full investigation into the rap icon’s now-viral incident.
Moreover, according to the insider, Spirit will reportedly give a full refund to the 63-year-old singer.
Besides that, Spirit appears to be taking full responsibility for the incident by offering a couple of more perks.
The airline is upgrading the flier status of Flav to ‘Gold.’ If you didn’t know, this tier is the highest rank given by Spirit. Accordingly, the eccentric showman will now no longer have to pay for add-on charges of the airline such as for baggage and seat selection.
Flavor Flav exchanges heated words with a Spirit Airlines agent
According to reports, Flavor Flav cursed out at an employee of Spirit Airlines while he was heading to Detroit at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
The reports further said that Flav was busy working on his laptop but lost time and realized that the doors to his flight are closing.
However, the airline carrier wouldn’t reopen the gates despite the Fight The Power MC’s failed attempt to get on board.
Moreover, he took his Twitter handle to share his thoughts on his experience with affordable airlines.
He shared, ‘@SpiritAirlines y’all oversold your flight and refused me boarding!!! no compensation or anything. I feel that’s totally wrong!!! #SpiritAirlines.’
Besides that, Flav alleged that he boards his flight late deliberately so that his celebrity status doesn’t hold up the boarding process.
The Public Enemy rapper mentioned that the airlines did open the gates for other passengers who were running late, but refused him and two other passengers to enter.
Meanwhile, Flav recently issued an apology on his social media for his actions.
He wrote, ‘I like to think I represent all the people who would get upset when airlines are in the wrong.’
Furthermore, the Hip-Hop icon continued, ‘As I said to TMZ. I apologize to those who witnessed me acting out of character. But I do not apologize to Spirit or the gate agent for their shady tactics when they oversell flights.’
