Thea White: Since our childhood, we’ve heard and the name of the show Courage The Cowardly Dog. We’ve enjoyed watching it on loop on Cartoon Network. The ugly-looking puppy had a lot of fears to face in the episodes which aired between 1999 and 2002. The show has gained huge popularity over the years and is one of the best shows of its Era.
In the show, Muriel and Eustace Bagge were Courage’s owners. The couple was voiced by Lionel Wilson while Courage is voiced by Marty Grabstein. There were many other characters too like Robot Randy, Shirley the Medium, and Dr. Vindaloo.
Who was THEA WHITE?
Thea White was from New Jersey, USA. She was born on June 16th, 1940. She was the voice behind a lot of different Cartoon characters like Corey in Pecola, Aunt Margaret in Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur and most notably Murel Bagge in Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Thea’s husband passed away in 2015.
According to her brother John Zitzner’s Facebook profile, Thea passed away on July 31st, 2021 at 11:05 am. He wrote “My sister recorded this prior to her surgery. She fought. She left us today at 11:05.” And attached a video in which Thea can be seen speeding up her recovery. She was a cancer patient for a long time and her brother also asked for best wishes from the public to help her feel strong. There were a lot of shocked fans who decided to pay tribute to her as they took to Twitter. Thea trended on Twitter for a few days as a lot of shocked and upset fans decided to tweet about the sadness they were feeling due to the sudden demise of their favorite voice actress.
