Shirlie sets record straight Martin Kemp and Last Christmas Video. Shirlie finally revealed who the male actor was with her in Whami’s iconic Last Christmas. Sadly for some, it was not Martin kemp.

The hit festive song Last Christmas aired in 1984. It featured singers like Andrew Ridgeley, George Michael along with background singers Shirlie and Pepsi DeMacque. Since then and still many people believed that it was Martin Kemp who featured in the video alongside Shirlie Kemo. However, the rumor is set straight by Shirlie and Martin on the show Good Morning Britain when host Kate Garraway asked about the classic festive video.

If Not Martin Kemp, Who Was With Shirlie In The Video?

Shirlie revealed at the show that in the clip was her boyfriend George at that time and not Martin kemp. Continuing with the facts she said that she had a boyfriend who was also an actor. At this point in the show, Martin jokingly added that Shirlie was two-timing with him and the actor in question. 

As said by Shirlie, the actor was from America but everyone thought it was Martin and it was not. The Spandau Ballet star added that now we should stop saying that it was Martin and added that Last Christmas was an iconic piece of the 1980s which is a wonderful thing.

George died in 2016 at the age of 53. The reason behind his death was revealed months after that he died due to natural causes, which were fatty liver and heart condition. The couple reminisced their time together and thought about George every day as he was the one who brought Shirlie and Martin together.

The duo went on to pay tribute to him, Shirlie further added that she thanks him every Christmas as he gave her some of the best Christmas of her life.

Martin Kemp (60) and Shirlie kemp (59) tied the knot in 1988 with a lavishing wedding in St. Lucia. the couple has two children both boys, Harley is at the age of 32 and Roman is at the age of 28.
