Actor Dave Bautista, known for his role as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, didn’t hold back when he took aim at Donald Trump in a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired on October 16, 2024. In a scathing video played during the episode, Bautista mocked the former president’s masculinity, adding fuel to his long-standing criticism of Trump. The clip has since gone viral, drawing widespread attention on social media.

Bautista’s comments were made during a workout, where he directly addressed Trump’s supporters, particularly those who view the former president as a symbol of toughness. “A lot of men seem to think that Donald Trump is some kind of tough guy. He’s not,” Bautista said. He went on to add a few jabs at Trump’s appearance, remarking, “I mean, look at him, he wears more makeup than Dolly Parton. He whines like a baby. The guy is afraid of birds.”

In his typical no-holds-barred style, Bautista criticized Trump’s draft dodging during the Vietnam War, claiming that Trump’s father paid a doctor to get his son out of military service. “Look at that gut,” Bautista added, “It’s like a garbage bag full of buttermilk.”

The segment also poked fun at Trump’s behavior in public situations. A clip of Trump struggling with an umbrella during a rainstorm played while Bautista remarked, “He’s not strong enough to hold an umbrella.” The actor continued to mock Trump’s signature dance, likening it to “ja*king off a pair of giraffes.”

But Dave Bautista didn’t stop there. He took more digs at Trump’s frequent outbursts and his alleged deference to Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying Trump “always bends over” for him. He also criticized Trump for being “scared of rain, dogs, and windmills,” concluding his rant with a biting remark: “He’s terrified that real, red-blooded American men will find out that he’s a weak tubby toddler. What’s wrong, tough guy? Did someone grab you by the pssy? Little btch.”

Bautista’s Ongoing Feud with Trump

This isn’t the first time Bautista has publicly criticized Trump. The actor has been a vocal opponent of the former president for years, using his platform to speak out on numerous occasions. In September 2024, Bautista threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, solidifying his stance against Trump’s policies and leadership.

Bautista’s disdain for Trump can be traced back to various incidents. In 2020, Trump posted a tweet supporting sports teams with names linked to Native American imagery, claiming the names represented “strength.” Bautista clapped back on social media, arguing that Trump didn’t understand the real meaning of strength, which, according to the actor, includes “righting wrongs” and taking action against injustice.

The actor’s distaste for Trump also surfaced in 2018 when Disney fired Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. Bautista compared Disney’s actions to Trump’s infamous “Make America Great Again” campaign, calling the situation “nauseating.” He even suggested that he would only return to the franchise if Gunn were reinstated as director, further showcasing his values and opposition to what he saw as unjust behavior.

Trump’s Silence So Far

As of now, Donald Trump has yet to respond to Bautista’s latest comments. Given Trump’s history of engaging with his critics, many are waiting to see if he’ll hit back at the actor on his Truth Social platform or elsewhere.

Dave Bautista, however, seems unfazed by any potential backlash. His fierce critique of Trump is part of a larger trend in Hollywood, where various figures have been increasingly outspoken about their political views. While Bautista is certainly not alone in his disdain for Trump, his colorful and direct style of commentary sets him apart, ensuring his voice will continue to be heard in the ongoing political discourse.
